.....you could do a lot worse than the Victory (Staplefield). The old place has had a recent makeover, and is spotless. Even the carpark has been re-laid with gravel. Margo had a cheese and ham toastie and I had a mature cheddar Ploughmans, both really generous helpings. Will be using this as a stop-off point for the coast again.

I miss a good ploughmans!! The best one i had was in whitby, N. Yorks. Were a right good'un. You can get a beast of a ploughmans in various village pubs in Oxfordshire too!
