It's rather naff I know but Nigel and I usually have a go at predicting the outcome of this once a year. Voting is usually rigged, with close neighbours voting for each other and the UK nowhere 'cos eveyone hates us......
My tip is for Denmark to win. However, the best two performances IMHO were by the Romanian duet and the Russian twins.
UK entry by Molly stands a remote chance of avoiding Nul points, but Tommo is sulking because Little Boots was snubbed after offering her services to represent us this year. Check out 'Satellite' on her recent album - that would have won hands down.

Won by the 'bearded lady' from Austria ! Seems at present Russia is even more hated in EU circles than the UK !

Not really, Tommo. Did they not get more than twice as many votes?

Well yes, from their satellite countries still sympathetic to the communistic cause. But from those who condemn them over Crimea there was audibly fierce booing in the studio. The Russian entry was very good and as Mr Norton said, it wasn't the twins' fault and they suffered from a stunted vote. At least France finished bottom.

Azerbaijan giving Russia 12, meaning they will have a healthy gas supply for at least another year.

No longer my bag - as a fierce Brexit campaigner.......... Besides, will be rooted from 9pm onwards to BBC2's "The Hollow Crown - Wars of the Roses" (episode 2 of 3). Benedict Cumberbatch makes his entrance with a hilarious portrayal of the future Richard III. Can't wait.

Well done Jean on picking the winner (Portugal). And Nigel got the runner-up (Bulgaria). Yes, sad that UK finished in the bottom half, we deserved better methought. My annual little bit of masochism now over, it's hello again to Spotify playlists !

Here we go again with the annual Euro Tipsters.........
First of all, I fail to see how Israel and Australia should be allowed to take part - neither are part of Europe. Hated the thrash metal of Hungary and the German rip-off: Ed Sheeran sings Adele. Other rip-offs of Justin Timberlake and Shakira. Moldova's entry was fun - a bit "LazyTown". All the ballads were horrible.
Tommo's selections: 1.Finland - Not scared no more ! 2.Denmark - Viking themed. 3.Netherlands - catchy C & W number.
Let's see if for once there's any justice. (Didn't rate the UK entry, too bland.)

Israel the winner - bah ! Bjork meets the Black Eyed Peas.

Thought the german entry was more like a young mick hucknall tommo
I picked the top 3, but was actually rooting for austria come the voting.
Still find it amazing how different the tele voting and jury voting differs by so much....but then not a lot about Eurovision makes sense!

Yup the German guy looked like Hucknall but sang like Sheeran, and the song was a rip-off of Adele's Someone Like You. The girl from Cyprus who made the early running thought she was Shakira. I wonder how Mr Corbyn feels about Israel winning ? Who cares, most 'music' churned out in the last twenty years is crap anyway !

Malta, the first song. It was all downhill from there (too much camp stuff).
The ripoffs this time were of Craig David, Shakira, Coldplay, the Prodigy. And did I see Richard Fairbrass of Right Said Fred representing San Marino?
Netherlands win with a power ballad. The UK finished last: didn't see that coming - much !

As UK is hosting on behalf of Ukraine, let's have another go at this.... Tommo's tips: 1 Norway 2 Belgium 3 Slovenia The green apparition from Finland must also stand a chance, also Israel's unicorn if only for her dancing at the end. Long-shot: Sweden Nil points: Germany Over to Nigel !

The green apparition from Finland must also stand a chance, also Israel's unicorn if only for her dancing at the end. Long-shot: Sweden Nil points: Germany Well, not bad tipstering with tommo's "long shot" coming 1st, and "in-with-a-chance" Israel 2nd and Finland 3rd. Germany did indeed finish bottom, with that hideous spider man, the only one to finish below the UK (with our usual bland entry). Main choices Norway and Belgium finished 5th and 7th respectively.

Looking at your comments Tommo think we pretty much agreed
My top 3 were Finland Belgium Sweden
Expected Finland to smash the public vote which they did and nearly stole it from Sweden
And I also gave Israel a couple of extra points for her 'dancing'
We put on a good show, Eurovision came home. Cha Cha Cha !
