My proposal is to get rid of the guest player for this event There we go - any seconders ? Although I would prefer my proposal (which is a different way of saying this) there has not been a seconder for that..... so I will second this proposal now. So are you still seconding this one as well, Dave, as it contradicts your latest proposal which Tony has now seconded ?

Dave I'll second that if it's not too late. cheers Tony Thanks Tony, I have now sent it to Dave Alder and will leave it up to the discretion of AEBBA Committee as to whether it can be accepted as I believe that the final date for proposals was yesterday.... I'll "third" this one if it helps........LOL

My proposal may not be accepted as it is after the date that proposals are meant to be received by.... so I will remain as a seconder on this proposal as I certainly do not want the only proposal to be one that allows any guest from any county as that would totally devalue the competition as being for "Team Champions" within each county IMHO.

That would be dependent on whether or not Milhouse had sent his proposal in officially by the required date. Can this be confirmed or denied ? I think we need to establish now which are valid, accepted proposals going before the AGM and repeat them on this thread.

Ruling is that proposals must be WITH the AEBBA Secretary 21 days prior to the AGM, posting on here is not 'With the AEBBA Secretary'.
However it is an important topic as to whether we legalise what has been going on for years, and has been devaluing the competition 'IMHO'.
More important is as to hearing whether those counties who do not run a separate completion would do so at the direction of AEBBA if the amendment were considered and passed?

Sav My email was sent to Dave Alder today.... so it would depend on an interpretation of "21 days prior to the AGM".... including today and the date of the AGM itself that is 21 days.

I don't think that is 21 days prior Dave. The word prior means before so it should be 21 days before the day.
Sav clearly stated the 16th November as the final date and put it on the banner for all to see.
Regards Chris

So if I have this right, the only tabled motion will be to allow What a waste of Forum discussion with all the associated time and effort. Serves us right though, I suppose.

Everyone's been breaking rule 55 for years Dave - I'm sure one more little transgression will be allowed.... We all want to move forward I'm sure. Tony

Regards Chris As I stated earlier Chrissie, it is entirely at the discretion of AEBBA whether they accept the proposal or not.... I have emailed it to Dave Alder and have not received any reply telling me that it is too late to submit a proposal. I think that it would be a shame to lose a proposal after all of the discussion here but I guess we will just have to wait until the AGM to see if it is on the agenda or not, I will try not to lose any sleep about it in the meantime!
