Looks a similar bet to the other one. Try Sav's tip: ...... if you were prepared to pay more you should have bid it at the last moment and let Fleabay determine what was needed. Even if the current bid at the time is only a few hundred, whack in a bid of, say, £600 in the last minute and eBay will keep re-bidding on your behalf up to that amount. It will see off any other challengers unless someone wanting it more than you put a similar ceiling bid in that was higher. eBay will only take what you needed to win, so you may find you land it for a lot less.

Yes but it's best to place you max bid in the final few seconds or use auctionsniper if you are not confident of your internet connection

....but even then you won't win it if your max bid isn't aimed high enough. The sniper will always beat you to it if they want it enough. I found this when bidding for a rare and obscure CD.

Cheers, I usually do put my maximum bid in shortly before the auction deadline. If you think the table looks okay I might see if I can persuade any of our interested pubs to put a bid in.
As ever I don't want to end up in a bidding war with Steve though - if Sheffield are keen I'll be happy to drop out on this one.

I think this one would be better for York as it's only coming from Hull. It doesn't seem to come with skittles, but it does say it comes with balls and scoreboard.

Very nice condition, including a fitted cover. However it appears to be "Narrow" (34" wide rather than 36") thus more suited to 4-Pin.

You guys do realise that this area is publically viewable to non members?
We normally talk about upcoming decent tables in the members area.
Just advice.

Hi sav yea this was only supposed for local to Yorkshire tables as with the fast groth of the game up here local tables are rare up here so this is aimed at semi local tables rather than country wide

Quite frankly that table would look more in place in a seaside amusement arcade rather than in a nice Sheffield pub. It looks similar to the R.G.Mitchell of Skegness "fibreglass bathtub" tables and could well be a prototype on which their design was based.
Of the others on eBay at the moment, the Sudbury one is "narrow" and despite poor condition of the cloth could attract interest from Sudbury League, whereas the nice Sussex SAMS one will probably go for upwards of £800. The John Bennett one has as you say a wooden base, and the Malvern Jelkes has had the timer ripped out, good enough reasons to avoid.

I've alerted Sudbury to their local table as it looks to be in a pub already.

It's what we colloquially call a "Fibreglass Bathtub". Made by R.G.Mitchells of Skegness with amusement arcades in mind. This one looks in good condition, but they're usually "narrow" (34" wide) so more suitable for 4-Pin. The legs folding underneath means they're easy to transport and store, but quite honestly something like this would look out of place in a pub, so suitable only for private use.

I'll send out a tweet about it, see if we can get any interest from York pubs in snapping it up.
