It is with great sadness that I can let you know that Martin is no longer with us. He died peacefully at St Peter & St James hospice last night. I'm sure all our thoughts are with his family and we will miss him very much - especially the Moustache !!

Hi Mark I have only just heard about Martin and also posted a message as did not see your post.But am sure two posts will not matter.How is Elizabeth was going to the pub tonight but never quite made it. Might pop in tomorrow evening for a couple of quickies as am away all weekend.Maybe see you tomorrow.Do Kim and Gavin know.

Hi Paul, I have let Gavin know but have not seen Kim. Elizabeth is ok and was down the Mill yesterday. She has her brother and sister staying at the moment which is good. I am sure she will be down the Mill again soon. We will not be down the road until the weekend.

So sorry to hear this news.
Martin was a gentleman and a larger than life character. He will be sorely missed.
Our sympathy to Elizabeth and family. Our condolences too to his team mates.

Such sad news. I can only concur with the sentiments of the other posts on this thread: he was indeed a true gentleman and a pleasure to know.
Paul, please pass on the sympathy of the Horns Lodge team to Elizabeth and her family at such a sad time.

Have just heard that Martins funeral is to be held on 2nd of January at the Downs Crematorium in Brighton at 12.00

Mid Sussex Bar Billiards and Golf are the poorer for his passing. A gentleman who played both games in the right spirit.
