Draw conducted at the Dover And Deal Committee meeting this evening, thanks to Curt Driver for coming along to scrutineer,
A surprisingly even draw with no real groups of death, 2012 final repeated in first round.

The reason that we have this members only area and the draw was put in here originally is that I don't particularly want Joe Public knowing when my house is going to be empty.

Sav So, what's different this year than any other year, as the Bournemouth pairs have always been put in THAT area!!

I try to take every precaution for mine and the other members' benefit, not to advertise publically when anyone's house is going to be empty.
This was learned by Gill and I the hard way and why the area not visible to guests was set up and my feelings as to why we should make more use of it. The entries have never been put in the public area as I have gathered them each year.
The 2013 draw was originally posted in this area by me and made public later and is not in the AEBBA Tournaments area now!.

On that basis, should not the draws for Jersey and Guernsey also be in the members only area?

On that basis, should not the draws for Jersey and Guernsey also be in the members only area? Fully agree, but that is up to the organisers of those tournaments and depends on how aware they are of the dangers. Those tournaments are however much less family oriented IMHO.

People who are not on the proboards would like to see the draw you are making barbilliards a joke right now we need to sort this out soon or we won't have barbilliards to enjoy any more

Remember that without the people you criticise there would be no national competitions at all and this is a board that is open to ANYONE with an interest inbar billiards to join for no cost whatsoever - just a tiny bit of effort! I am grateful that the entries & draw are in a members only area. There are often reports in the local paper about houses being burgled while the owners were participating in a competition, tournament or other local event that had been publicised, either in the press or on the internet. I wish that the Jersey info was also in a private area - although it is slightly less likely that houses will be empty over the Jersey weekend.

Talking to Nigel about the schedule at present.
Assume 1000hrs Saturday and 2000hrs for the international, evening meal starts at 1800hrs.
You should not be on in the first two series looking at the draw

Nigel has been very busy recently and has not been able to do the schedule as tournament director, he plans on doing it this week.
