On behalf of the AEBBA Committee I post the following response to the above posts:
It has been factually ascertained that there was no one who played in the AEBBA Pairs 2015 who did not stay at the Queens except those quoted, when the hotel was full, as discussed by the full AEBBA Committee.
The evidence regarding bookings and bank payments has shown that this is the case.
Sadly there appears to have been some misinformation passed to one or two other players regarding an entrant and their place of residence. This person did though stay at the hotel and bank statements show they paid their monies for this.
The factual evidence has been seen by one of the persons who raised the concerns above, he has acknowledged that this did not happen and that all playing were resident. ( except those stated above by Sav when the hotel was full)
The integrity of the previous organiser Chris Saville is totally upheld, as is the integrity of Chris Newson who jointly worked with Sav at the time.
This matter is now ended and closed.

Well said Chrissie, it was unfortunate that somebody who is not even going this year (and has not commented on this thread) decided to stick their oar in and stir up this trouble but certain people do seem to get their pleasure in strange ways. The closing date for bookings has passed, although I am still waiting for a few promised booking forms to arrive in the post. Assuming they do turn up in the next couple of days a total of 106 rooms will be allocated to AEBBA and we will have about 61 pairs which is slightly down on last year. The draw will be done on Sunday 24th January at the Redhill One Day Inter League competition.

Have to say this annual slanging match is getting a bit tedious, i used to be in the "dont like being forced to stay where i'm told camp", and just didn't attend. Last year was my first visit and i found the hotel, its facilities and the city to be top notch and thoroughly enjoyed the whole package. I must say that those that take the trouble to organise this event have my upmost appreciation and thanks as one who knows how much time and effort is spent getting all us erberts to payup on time etc. So keep up the good work and thanks regs cs Hear hear.
