U's gain automatic promotion, but tommo's going to Wemberley (no, not to see our former 'B' team Palace.) Old stadium in 1988, now the new Wembley in 2016. Many thanks to Gibbsey and Sk1ppy for keeping me informed of progress last night.

Watching the Euro Final, France v Portugal.... Ronaldo off injured and midfields cancelling each other out, not as good a game as France's semifinal v Germany. They vote soon on Goal of the Tournament: Must surely go to Wales's Robson-Kanu where he did the Johann Cruyff turn.

Nice break from bar billiards tonight, taking advantage of a Bye...... Still won 5-0 ! That is, Wimbledon 5, Bury 0 (FA Cup replay) - even Margo was impressed ! Journey took an hour there and an hour back. Seated tickets only a fiver each. Perfect evening.

Football ain't fair ! Feeling really sorry for Curzon Ashton and their fans. They led 3-0 after 80 mins with 3 good goals, only for us to get the result 4-3 with 4 scrappy goals including one with virtually the last kick of the game. Embarrassed by how poor we were in the first half and most of the second. A draw would have been an acceptable result. Can't knock the Wimbledon spirit, but always good to see another fairytale club. Took greater pleasure out of Sutton United's win yesterday.

Yo Sutton Utd ! After defeating my team (in every department) while Margo and I sat there freezing, they only go on to beat Leeds ! Well done to the Ox U's in knocking out Newcastle 3-0. Guernsey's Tom Oliver and Bob Le M will be cock-a-hoop for Wolves's win over Liverpool. And who would have thought Lincoln City would knock out the mighty Seagulls !
