The Ray Sturgess under 25 competition 2016Disappointingly, there were only five entries for this competition this year and one of those dropped out! However the remaining four had a competitive afternoon playing a round robin with the top two playing off for the Ray Sturgess Trophy. The table at the end of the six games was; | | | | | |
---|
|
| P | W | L | Aggr | P | Craig Mace | 3 | 3 | 0 | 13730 | N | Callum Bowler | 3 | 2 | 1 | 12070 | R | Adam Ingram | 3 | 1 | 2 | 7680 | S | Danielle Chewings | 3 | 0 | 3 | 5990 |
So, Craig Mace was due to play Callum Bowler in the final and took the break in the first game on table 3. Uncharacteristically, he broke down early at 500 allowing Callum in to amass a break of 8670 and finish with an excellent score of 12,030. With Callum's break to come in the second, he got to 4k+, Craig conceded and another new name went on the trophy. Well done to all who played and especially to our new Champion for 2016.
