I beat Matthew 2-1 at the Black Horse tonight.... the game could (kindly) be described as scrappy and I was certainly very lucky, expecially in the decider when a ball came flying back down the table, knocked the black peg right off the spot and dropped down the 200 hole shortly before the bar dropped and then won on the last ball after Matthew nearly made a very good comeback after that. To anybody that is going to arrange a competition match at this venue.... DON'T DO IT ON A TUESDAY! The darts team certainly like to take over all of the area at that end of the room, especially the "nice" person that sat on the chair so close to the table that it was nearly impossible to play any shots on the right hand side.... Something urgently needs to be done about the "D".... the ball will only sit on 2 areas of the D securely and even then it often rolls off into the "canyon" that is next to where the white spot is, even on the break it is not possible to spot the cue ball correctly. The table is also so uphill that it resembles the lower foothills around Mount Kilimanjaro, perhaps the home team have set it uphill for "Triangles" as the table does not usually get moved at this venuw....

Well done Dave, was certainly a night that won't be forgotten in a hurry. Not much to add about the table the home darts players who were not keen on us being there or my "very lucky" opponent Good luck in the semi-finals. Thanks to Colleen for scoring the "thriller"

Will probably get sorted in feb.... but I wont say which year, its been the same since we joined the lewes league

I beat Dave 2-1 this afternoon. Closely fought match with the first two going against the break and the usual trouble as soon as you ended up at the back of the table. Probably not helped by people insisting on playing pool behind us but it is a pub after all.
