Is that a special venue draw for TJ being right on his doorstep!! Your match was actually drawn at the Ashburnham Arms but then I realised they hadn't entered the competition, so I thought it only fair that you played at a venue a little nearer.......

Brewers 2 hassocks 4 * Geoff 1100 v 1400 Derek Neil 3580 v 340 Pete * *Ros 550 v 2210 Rob Paul 2340 1440 Barry * So it was 2-2 and we new when they put Neil and Paul on it was more damage limitation for us as we was already 1800 down if not more But up steps boball against the break to get 3k break to seal the win Neil and Paul 510 v 3980 rob and Barry
And so into decider all games gone against the break and we was 1200 up Ros and Geoff 790 v 3670 Derek and Pete Derek broke off with 2190 and so we was 3k up and then ros going strong on a 2700 break which would take them into the lead but sadly a peg off the back cushion sealed the win for hassocks
Excellent curry and all games had chances for both

Is that a special venue draw for TJ being right on his doorstep!! We made the long journey, managed to find the venuw and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening..... Albion Fishersgate 4 Laughing Fish 2 Tony Jenner 5,960* - 1,340 Jamie Hall Rick Cunningham 2,020 - 1,150* Joseph Carpenter Dave Ingram 6,360* - 490 Kirsty Allun James Nicot 840 - 4,720* Henry BrooksTony & Rick 1,180* - 5,760 Henry & KirstyDave & James 7,700 - 1,340* Jamie & Joseph The Fish were unfortunately short of a few of their regular players on the night due to holidays but still gave us a good run for our money with plenty of laughs and friendly banter.... that was mainly aimed at H! My first visit to the Black Lion which is an excellent venue, lovely table and a very good spread of food (butchers sausages, wedges and chips) that defeated us all in the end.

County Oak 4-2 Hikers Rest **George 880 - 2730 Brian Nigel 6260 - 2960 Kev H** **Michelle 910 - 2450 Sandra Matt 8410 - 1890 Kev S** **George/Nigel 7480 - 10 Kev H & S Matt/Michelle 6920 - 1520 Brian/Sandra** Good win for us tonight, George finding every way possible to lose his score despite playing some good shots which let Brian in for the victory. Kev and Nige both missed early, thought it was curtains when Kev got them back but not to be as Nige got them back with some great shots and made enough. Poor Chelle lost over 5k in two breaks, she played brilliantly on the second break but missed a ball down the middle to give Sandra the win. I managed a 5k break midway through the fourth leg to make it 2-2. Nige went off with 6k in the fifth to give us about a 14k lead and a 3-2 advantage but we managed the win outright winning against the break in the last. Thanks to the Hikers for a good evening, table played lovely
