Congratulations to the new National Team Champions White Hart A (Littlehampton) - consistent scoring throughout the day. And I must say, some great reporting from Boball.

Thanks everyone. Always chuffed to win this prestigious team competition. A fantastic performance from the lads and well supported by reserve Ian who scored our matches all day. The competition was played as a round robin with seven teams taking part. We started by beating the reigning champs (Didcot CC) 5-0, followed by a close 3-2 victory over the Northants boys, Chocie winning the decider. Another comfortable 5-0 over the Pompey team was next. After that match we suffered our only defeat of the day to The Tunbridge Wells outfit 2-3 which meant we had to beat the consistent Caversham side to regain the advantage. We did this with an excellent 4-1 victory. So with a two point lead going into the last series, as long as we didn't have a disaster, the title would be ours. A 5-0 win to cap off a great day for the White Hart. Well done to Fitz 6/6 , Chocie 5/6 , Nipper 4/6 , Foxy 3/6 and I helped a little bit as well 😉 Thanks to the admin desk for a well run day. Also well done to Pauline who beat Jean in the Ladies Final

Good reporting from Sussex's men on the spot but crappy reporting elsewhere ! No mention of final placings or even as to who were runners-up..... Hi Clive, Dave Alder has all the results for the Ladies unless they have been passed onto Nigel or Dave. It was played in two groups of 4 and I know the group I played in was all down to the wire with aggregate being the key factor. I think it may have been the same in Jean's group. The two groups were Jenny Florey, Mel Standbridge, Dawn Jordan and myself in one group and Jean Brackenridge, Ros Appleby, Myra Hawkins and Sue Atkins in the other group. Sorry had a busy day playing, scoring and doing the raffle so I didn't actually see the end results xx

Kent were runners up on 19 points Thanks Jim. I suppose it's tradition for history to be written by the victors, been happening that way for centuries ! Have knocked together a writeup for Horsham and Mid Sussex websites more or less quoting KT's report ad verbatim.
