In conjuction with the discussion on the future of the intercounties, in particular the ladies intercounties, I believe rule 3 needs rewording;
To something like
The current rule does not have half the existing comps AEBBA run in it and is far too limiting of the decisions AEBBA can make as it stands. It will also open up discussion for amendments at the AGM on the specific age limitations.
What do you think?

Cheers Jean,
I'll act as seconder if needed.
I have already emailed the AEBBA Chair for him to be aware of it but it should still be formally submitted with a proposer and seconder.

Thank you My concerns - this was discussed with those that do attend - no discussion with those that don't - however I doubt you will encourage more that do not attend no matter what you do. Have the majority of those that do attend been consulted, where is the evidence ?? Will this truly make a difference to the way forward in a diminishing climate ?? Sorry Chris and Jean as I support you both always, but we need to ensure evidence of a rule that will create an impact - yet I believe the rule needs changing regardless. Thank you both Chris x

I have emailed my rule change proposals to Pete and Dave today
Am I supposed to put them elsewhere for everyone to discuss prior to the AGM?

Just to clarify what I have done (to make sure I have done it correctly)
I wanted to put a rule change proposal to the AGM this year which is proposed by myself and seconded by Pauline
Even though I read through the current rules, knowing it might affect other rules I asked Chris to check I had covered all the rules it might affect. He pointed out that Rule 3 would need an amendment which I have done in my proposals.
I emailed the proposals to Dave and Pete to be put up for discussion at the AGM.
There has been no discussion between myself and Chris regarding the proposal just that I had missed one rule it might affect.
Im sure I read in the rules that they need to go to the Secretary/Chairman who will then send them to County Secretarys?

Excellent post Jean.
I hope the rule change you have made will be posted on here, which it usually is by Dave, so all can give a view prior to the AGM.
I cannot make the AGM,
I am no longer playing and Chris too, except a few odd tournaments, I feel it is unfair therefore if I express an opinion re you proposed changes.
I can say that if I was going to play, I believe that what you and Pauline are saying is FOR THE GOOD OF THE GAME RE LADIES.
Thanks Chris x
