The bay horse tell me they are fully booked for the Friday night and have just one room left for the Saturday night, it will be let on a first come first served basis so if you would like to book the last room for Saturday either phone the pub direct and mention it is for the bar billiards open or send me a PM

A meeting of the Suffolk BBA was held last night where it was decided the East Anglian Air Ambulance would be our chosen charity, so once again we ask you all if you will concider donating anything that can be used as a raffle prize on the day to help us raise funds.
It was also agreed that as the official closing date for entries is the 28th February our next meeting will be on the 1st of March where the draw for the E A four pin open will take place, venue to be agreed, but if anyone wants to come along to witness the draw you are more than welcome and I will be happy to advise the venue once it is confirmed, but it will probably be the bay horse. If the number of entries hasn't reached 64 at the time of the draw empty spaces will simply be entered as byes in the group stages, any late entries will then replace the byes in turn.
Prize money was confirmed as follows
Winner of the four pin open will receive £100, plus the trophy and a smaller trophy to keep
Runner up of the open will receive £50 plus a trophy to keep
Winner of the plate will receive £40 plus the plate and a trophy to keep
And the runner up of the plate will receive £20 plus a trophy to keep
The losing semi finalists in both competions will receive a small medallion as a keeps sake.
Once again I would like to say thank you to everyone in anticipation of your support, lets hope that once again it is a successful and fun tournament.
Good luck to everyone and see you in March

Just one place left, I think if two more people want to enter Gillian Towse would step down and make room.

Gandalf we are starting a reserve list, but to be serious our next target would have to be 80 to make our groups thingy work and I couldn't see us getting another 16, so any entries we receive now will just go on a reserve list, there's still a couple of months to go before the tournament and we all know peoples circumstances change and some players may have to drop out.

Well I've shown intent and want to enter if they find the extra 16 players as I would be confident in beating the Eastbourne lads lol

What a fantastic response for this year's E.A. Open ! Some counties would snatch an arm off at the prospect of 80 entries for a normal one. 16 doesn't sound too many more to recruit in the time remaining, especially if Norwich suddenly show an interest.

Tommo we're just happy to have 64 entries with a month to spare The next logical step is 80 but I think that is very ambitious, we've got all the four pin players we can hope for and despite all our attempts we have had ZERO response from norfolk

Bobhall is first reserve down, so he will take gillian Towse's place as she is happy to stand down and concentrate on her admin duties but she will hopefully be prepared to jump back in on the day if we have a no show

Taffy I do tend to agree with taffy. getting another 16 will be a tough challenge and put a couple of hours on the day, it is of course possible, so we'll wait to see what response we get in the next couple of weeks Thank you to everyone that has entered and for getting your entries in nice and early. Looking forward to seeing everyone in march for a fun four pin tournament Dave
