Three Bees 2 Roffey CC 3
Steve 2480 John 3920 John 1000 Junkie 2070 Lin 2910 Vernon 2460 Mike 2520 Jim 890 Dave 2220 John 4570
Where do I start? Well, Jim will have me start with the fact that I knocked the black peg over from the first break when the cue ball came off the end of my tip something akin to an exorcet missile, hit the fifty hole and whipped straight through the black, it was hard to concentrate after that due to the cacophony of laughter and various hand signals (think the signals where something about pumping a tyre up but can't be sure). However, The Bees gave us a very good game with the 'Lennon' partnership working out nicely, sadly Dave couldn't make it the perfect family night and I did hear Lin and Mike whispering about farming him out for adoption!!! ha ha ha.
Lovely night with some good friends, must also mention the entertaining 'Comrade Eely' and his Russian Hat!!!

Hi Everybody
It is a long time since I have done a report, but first of all I must report a medical condition that could effect any bar billiards player
Although the condition has been around since Bar Billiards started it has now been given a name "Chelsea"
This usually happens when a player is taking the break, despite the brain saying "Hit it harder", the message fails to reach the cue arm. As a result both balls remain on the table, quite close or even closer to the two fifty pockets
After last night I realise that this condition could be contagious, it struck down at least three of the Mighty A Team, and in one case the attack was very severe
Unfortunately no cure is currently known
Anyway now my match report
SPRINGBOK CLUB 2 STOUT HOUSE A 3
Trevor 1,090 Tony 2,680 Trevor lost an early 3k break probably due to the red ball moving off the spot, After that Tony managed to stay in front
Mike 2,480 Yours Truly 2,970 Mike was unable to take advantage of my early "Chelsea" attack, but after that every time I managed to get a lead he caught me up, fortunately I was on the table at the end and potted the red and cleared the table
So the Mighty A Team were 2 - 0 up, but very easily could have been 2 - 0 down
Robin 5,110 Chelsea 2,110 Hundreds of chances for both players, but Robin secured the match with a 3k break towards the end
Gary 3,970 Phil 1,290 Despite not being at his best, Gary was always in control and so we had a Desmond
Robin (Again) 1,140 Barry 1,370 Robin tried everything to get the break back, whereas Barry despite losing his opening 1k break seemed to score at every visit and just did enough
So despite at least six "Chelsea" attacks, the Mighty A Team sneaked a 3 - 2 Win from the jaws of a possible 5 - 0 defeat
Hard Luck Springbok
Excellent evening, finished with lovely bacon and cheese wraps
Best Wishes
JT

Stout House F 2 Southwater C 3
Stuart Hope 1750 Ollie Wilkins 1440 Scrappy game, midgame play around the 50s paid off for Pops.
Grant Hope 920 Tony Temple 3190 Tony led from the off, Grant not getting going.
Colin Bolton 2370 Tony Franks 3450 Tony not quite on usual form, Colin pulled back at the end.
Scott Hope 4030 Keith Newman 1400 Not much going for Nogs, Scott in front all the way.
Dave Simmons 0 Mel Blake 3830 Early 2k for Mel enough as Dave managed to last the whole game with plenty of visits without getting anything on the scoreboard. Absolute zip, nothing, no black pegs, just nothing! He was trying too....! Not sure if this constitutes a record....??
Table clock still messing about, first two games went 12 mins. Bar then propped and games timed. Fun evening anyway, rounded off with the usual gourmet sandwiches.
