Just commenting on the excellent format you have come up with for the 4-Pin for 39/40 players: 8 Groups of 5 means a clean run to the Quarter-finals, and everyone gets to play at least (4+1=) 5 legs on the day. And consolation for the third-placed in each group in the form of a nice rest/bye into the Plate second round. Really looking forward to taking part, also to breakfast on the Sunday !

Breakfast on sunday? Where is everyone staying Saturday night?
I have no idea where I'll end up Saturday night, it all depends on where the lovely Northants gang decide to dump me this year

We have introduced a new rule this year where the defending champion of the Open gets to choose who he plays in both competitions - he chose you!! 😉

Since it is you, Keith, I would be prepared to forego my slot in the draw in a bid to help you in your quest to leave early! The organisers can then pop me in somewhere else, maybe versus that guy BYE. Of course this does not guarantee that you will leave early, you'd need to manage that bit on your own - but it does make the chances of advancement that wee bit tougher!! I will do that selflessly for the benefit of the game!!

Would like to have been at the four pin but my motorcycle group rely on me and the big trailer to get all the camping and maintenance gear to this weekends rally in Dorset.

Dorset...my favoutite county. Have fond memories of a car owners club meet back in the early days: rx8ownersclub.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=164&t=6839&start=100All met up at Rownhams Service station then had a great meal in the Hambro Arms, Milton Abbas before heading north with great views from high up overlooking the Vale of Blackmoor.
