Hi Alan,
Just a quick question.
Owing to all of the posts by Taffy I couldnt help notice that youve been supplying him pegs and mushrooms.
It is the East Anglian four pin open in a few weeks and although we hire in 8 tables from the AEBBA these come with three pins and obviously we use 4 mushrooms. A few years back we, the Suffolk Bar Billiards Association purchased 8 sets of mushrooms for use at our opens, but last year for some unknown reason we gave a set to another county. We can of course just borrow a set of mushrooms from one of our league tables for the day but wondered how much it would cost to buy a set from yourself and how quickly you could make them? The bases must be concaved to sit snugly over the spots and this was a problem we had with the original sets we got as the bottoms were flat and some not even square so they sat on the piss even when placed on a flat surface and wobbled when sitting on the spots. On our own tables this wouldnt be a problem as the cloth is marked with ink but the AEBBA tables have spots and I dont think they would of appreciated us marking their tables with a marked pen.
I look forward to receiving your reply when you have time
All the best
Dave
