A high scoring match that had many twists and turns.... Game 1 - One visit each with Terry opening with an excellent 10k, I finished off. 1-0 Game 2 - Almost a carbon copy of the first game, Jim touching up on his score and Ian playing it out apart from the last ball which he sunk second time. 1-1 Game 3 - Hmmm, how do you begin to describe this game? Glenn out of position on his first one up and then pegged a 100/30 push shot to give Martin the break back. Martin looked comfortable and made a very steady 9k plus break which was enough to have the game won before whipping a ball out of the 50 hole that ended up in the middle of the table. Martin missed the ball off the side cushion meaning the score was 0-0 after 14 minutes. Glenn moved it but got nothing down, neither player could then get the break back with Martin having a slight lead when the bar dropped. Glenn got the red ball in the 100 hole with a lucky shot to put him 100 in front but then missed the 100 hole with the last ball, Martin got it first time to get the draw. 1.5-1.5 What a way to win the inter league title this season! Game 4 - Chocie missed the red ball on his second break shot and came off shortly afterwards, a superb 16,520 play out from Gareth to take the leg. 1.5-2.5 Game 5 - Tupps off at just under 2k, Gerry made sure with a good 9.2k break before adding some more at the end. 2.5-2.5 Game 6 - A very good 10.4k and touch from Nigel to give Roger no chance, Roger played the table out to the last ball. 2.5-3.5 Game 7 - SirKT opened with 10,570 and never looked like missing, despite getting involved in the banter being aimed at Glenn & Martin who were playing darts against each other (Martin won 2-1 in a very long match!) and then added some more at the end. 3.5-3.5 Some high quality games and one very strange one, plenty of laughs and friendly banter between all of the players with a nice spread of sarnies. Congratulations to Worthing A on winning the Inter League competition again this year, Brighton A finishing as runners-up.

Alan Messer * beat Nick Brown Alan off early both struggled to get the break back, Alan did with about 2 minutes to go.
Dave Simmons beat Steve Aylmore * Steve off a 1k and did Dave made sure with two breaks.
Phil Oakley beat Gary Ridley * Gary off early and could not get the break back, Phil did a couple of times to make sure.
John Dynes * off very early, TJ balls back and going well only to spin the 100 split out at 2.5k, but first to get them back and touched on 6k and then added some more.
Dave Hampton * lost to Paul Barnett, Paul off early, Dave balls back and built small lead, added some more before Paul got them back at the right time to make sure of the leg we needed
Steve Beach * beat Doug Mahy, Doug off early, Steve two good breaks to amass 11k and win a good leg.
Bill Harrison off early, Joe built 4k and then added another 6k to ensure he finishes top of division two averages.
A good night at the Locomotive, plenty of banter a feast laid on by the landlord.

The game between Trevor Rees and Steve Hurley was quite bizarre. Steve had really got hold of the table and was on over 6K when a 10 split caught the 100 hole and took out a peg, giving Trevor the break back in the process. Trevor scored about 700 before coming off. Steve got a few and then Trevor got the balls back again and had just over 1k when he 4 downed it. Steve was cruising at about 1.5k when he pegged again just as the bar was due. A grateful Trevor mopped up the remaining balls for the win. Lively and friendly evening with the Brighton team.
