The Deadline for rule changes has passed and as far as I know none have been received which is a good sign.
However this doesn't mean that you get the night off, it would as always be great to see as many people as possible attend the AGM and support the committee.
Ian.

Ok so I was wrong there has been one rule change submitted by Lorraine Hall and seconded by Clive Thompson with an amendment. This was received within the time frame.
The Rule change relates to The Roy Wells Handicap Cup.
Current wording Rule 1. All matches will consist of 3 singles and 2 doubles games
requiring a minimum of 4 players per side.
Rule 2. The order of play will be 2 singles, 2 doubles, 1 single.
Proposed change to be:
New Wording Rule 1. All matches will consist of 4 singles and 2 doubles games,
requiring a minimum of 4 players per side.
Rule 2. The order of play will be 2 singles, 2 doubles, 2 singles.
The Amendment covers the Semi Final & Final stages where if the result is a draw aggregate scores would decide the order.

A good harmonious meeting, with not much in the way of change. From memory, all officers were returned, with the exception of Darren Newnham and Jenny Edwards who are replaced on the General Committee by Paul Moyes-Robb. With the two Cock teams merging as "Cock United", the league is down to 11 teams with one Bye. There is however the prospect of this being filled before the new season gets underway. The Brewers team have moved, lock stock and barrel (table), to Mid Sussex Conservative Club (Burgess Hill). The Charity League, which returned last year in honour of Roy Wells, was considered a success and will be repeated, but with a slight change of format: 6 frames will now be played instead of 5 with 2 singles, 2 pairs and then 2 more singles. Matches will start at 8.15pm to accommodate the extra game.
