The Windmill team send a fond farewell and best wishes to our Vicky as she leaves tonight to take up a new teaching post "out west".Her last season for us contained some really memorable performances and these ones stick out: 1. 5540 at HHUSC A in Charity League; 2. 3330 at HHUSC B (league week 5) 3. 1600 v Brewers at St Francis in Team Cup (last ball game) 4. 3220 at Watermill (league week 14) 5. 2310 at the Cock in our tied match (league week 15) Quote: At this stage our season seemed to be falling apart and Vicky secured a vital frame for us (2100-1780) at St Francis - without which we would have been out of the race for honours. Her last two appearances for us were in the Semi-Final and Final of the Team Plate: The first of these she did not win but her game was memorable nonetheless: Vicky 2300, "BBW" Dilly 5560 "BBW" = "builders bum williamson" - the bigger the break whilst on the table the further the trousers were slipping down, to the point that bets were almost being taken on whether we'd see a full moon tonight! In the final she played a really exciting see-sawing game and some determined play towards the end (2260 - 1590) proved decisive for us as the Cock H/L had to give away a frame. Her competitiveness will be missed...

Vicky was a great competitor and kept the old boys in the team on their toes It was always a pleasure when she was able to attend a match. Good luck in your new role and maybe you'll make a guest appearance some time.
