A real see-saw match this with St Francis taking the first three games and then United taking the last three. All very close games which made for a very entertaining evening with the Clubbers, all rounded off with a good spread of food!

after a slow start by both, Jock warmed up.
Graham Sparksman 3040 - 4670 Pete Edwards
even game until the end when Pete was on the table.

Andy killed it with a 7k break
Graham/Richard Wooton 8070 - 5410 Pete/Rob Hall
Richard had an 8k break, followed by Pete's 4-5k (I only watched lol).

Bob opened with 10k, Richard finished it with 5k.
Andy Guy 3170 - 2550 Derek Taylor
surprisingly low scoring but Andy pulled through at the end.

This game had it twists and turns Chris Lamb was really unlucky as he had a solid break going which would have sealed the leg but he 4 timsed the break. I counted 4 200 shots off the back cushion in different legs. Thanks to Barry and co for a good night and to the Hassocks for a good spread as usual.

CKRBL V Windmill Z (Postponed) Arranged for Wed.08/11/17 CKRBL 3, Windmill Z 3 Andy 4130, Barry 3170 Neil 4590, Graham 1200 Ted & Pete 610, Jim & Barry 7110 Paul & Lynne 2320, Graham & Clive 7910 Paul 1950, Jim 13350 Ted 4370, Clive 2880 Barry giving Jim good support in the doubles, but Graham scoring every point in ours. A friendly evening with the Legionnaires, and a fine smorgasbord provided with soft cheese and pate. I make it that 1 point now covers 5 teams in our Pool !  |
