County Oak B 2-3 Albion Fishersgate A Jean 5020 - 10,070 Henry** - H off on 2k, Jean balls back and going well with 4k, off and Henry makes sure with a nice 6k **Stuart 10,780 - 5010 Joe - Stuart off on 3k, first to get them back with 3k more. Joe very good chase but misses on 5k, the Carruthers cleans up. Stu did have to contend with some ill-natured banter during his leg....Silent has been suitably reprimanded Alan 4460 - 9770 Matt** - Woeful effort from me early after a rubbish one-up, pegged. Alan going well but off on 4k, grateful for another go with 9k and touch **Michelle 8580 - 1820 Rick - Early misses from both before Michelle settled down with a 4k break. Rick couldn't get them back, Michelle did for the win Jack 3350 - 12,490 Tony** - Tony a solid 5k opener with a couple of excellent recovery shots, nice clearance from Jack but he missed on 3k with a thin split. TJ balls straight back and another 4k and touch for the win (but and you know there is one coming - **see below) and finishing off with a few more **As regular readers will know the Jenneral always takes the opportunity to increase the heart rate of the captain and tonight was no exception......with the game pretty much won and the usual comments of steady, take it easy, tap away etc in full swing it's time for a ""TJ Special" a thumped split, a little thick rimming the 50 hole and with the hand up halfway to the hole clean in the 200 ....and breath. Can't complain too much though as Tony remains undefeated and wins the decider for us tonight Fun night in excellent company, no doubt a 5-0 either way could have happened but the visitors happy to get over the line

My job is to give the captain early gray hair and there was no panic from the man at the table, suitable early apology to my opponent but I wasn`t aiming at the black peg so knew it was going to go cleanly and I did use the red, think my captain would wonder what was going on if I didn`t keep on his toes, already won a few more than last season perhaps time to retire for the season and rest on my laurels!!!
Excellent evening with appropriate banter, and Michelle leaving her sick bed to play an excellent leg.
