County Oak A 4 Albion Fishersgate C 1 Nigel Senior 6,240 - 11,480* Jim Millward Superb opening break of 11,460 from Jim to give Nigel no chance, Nigel finished the game off second time he got the break back. 0-1 Phil Osborne 12,260* - 4,070 Stuart Mepham Very solid 10,350 opener from Phil to give Chocie no chance, Stu replied with his score and Phil played the rest of the table out. 1-1 Gareth Lloyd 9,710 - 6,390* Grant Tully Grant off on 1.6k, Gareth got the break back and touched on his score, Grant played out the rest of the game. 2-1 Three high quality games to start the evening off.... things had to change and they did with the arrival of the comedy act.... Ian Lelliott 4,850* - 4,080 Dave Ingram Hard to know how to describe this game, woeful simply does not do it justice! Ian missed his first split, I got the break back and left the first one up short.... Ian got the break back but missed on 4k, I got the break back and pegged 3k when I left a split short.... Ian got the break back and pegged, I finished the game off but didn't have time to catch him by then. A truly awful game, more like a Laurel & Hardy film than anything else.... Marcus Chipman 8,640 - 5,310* Geoff Jukes Geoff missed on about 2.5k, Marcus break back and touched on his score, Geoff finished the game off. A good performance by the home team who deserved the win on the night, nice spread of food and good company as always.

Albion Fishersgate A 3-2 Duke of Wellington Joe 2470 - 3970 Tupps** - Chris 4 times first visit. Joe looking good with over 6k, missed a split then pegged chasing ball around. Tupps 3.8k and off, Joe balls back but misses on 2.5k, the Tuppster finishes off **TJ 12,030 - 1580 Mick - Tony off early but first to get them back and the Jenneral makes a good 6.7k break. Mick no luck in getting them back, Tony does and makes another 4k continuing his good Brighton form (and is nice to captain this week, keeping him calm) Matt 740 - 10,590 Kevin** - Kev makes 4.8k opening break, Silent chases ball around but couldn't get them back, Kev does but misses red on break...off, still I don't get them back, no third chance as Kevin finishes off **Rick 10,600 - 370 Dave - Excellent 7k opener from Rick, Dave doesn't get balls back in the leg so decider time Phil 6020 - 2310 Colin** - Col off on 1900, Phil first to get them back but off on 1k. Plenty of time at the top of the table before Phil gets them back and keeps 2k with an interesting assortment of shots Colin no luck in getting them back, Phil does and super reserve seals the win for the home team Excellent team win for us tonight, enjoyable night and good company as always

Hove Park Tavern A v County Oak B played at the Smugglers Bob Thomas 3970 v Alan Brackenridge 1530 James Whittle 1090 v Stewart Carruthers 3800 Dave Bartrum 1220 v Jean Brackenridge 3120 Brian Bartrum 3270 v Michelle Baden 830 Colin Green 5090 v Jack Baden 4120 Unfortuneately the Smugglers had a particularly loud band playing tonight but the Staff went out off their way to keep people away from the playing area and also provided food when they were really busy. Molly tells me he could hear the band from his living room even when Pauline was talking. If anybody has lost a one piece cue, a cue has been left at the Smugglers. If they would like to get in touch with me I will do my best to make sure it is returned.

Think Molly went one better than that as he was at the Albion, Fishersgate and still heard it!!! I do not mind a bit of noise when we are playing but I understand this was very, very loud, also understand the pub have to make a living.
