Albion Fishersgate C 1 Albion Fishersgate A 4 Dave Ingram 8,570 - 7,110* Matthew Knight After a dodgy start, Matt settled down well and looked very comfortable until suddenly missing the red ball on the break shot, I got the balls back and played out to the bar.... thanks to one bit of luck on the way (before Matt says anything!) Glenn Chubb 690* - 10,690 Henry Brooks Nice to see Chubbster out for the evening again, sadly he pegged his opening break around 3k and Henry made him pay with a good 8k and touch to level the match. Grant Tully 4,140 - 11,390 Joe Oakley Joe on great form for the first 7k before suddenly losing the split shot and nearly pegged a split when he came off on 8k, Grant no luck to get them back and Joe made sure next visit leaving Grant some time to put a score on the board. Stuart Mepham 1,090* - 6,610 Rick Cunningham Stuart lost his opening break on about 2k when he missed a ball behind the 20 hole, Rick got the break back 4 times after that while the holes seemed to close up when Chocie went to the table.... game over. Geoff Jukes 1,090 - 14,510* Tony Jenner As a former team mate of Tony's, I have scored many of his games over the years.... with the opposition team now in full voice having won the game, I would have to say that this was one of the most entertaining games I have ever scored. Balls seemed to fly all over the table and find their ways into holes, some were very good recovery shots and others had a fair amount of luck!! He didn't miss any of the three splits that he did to the 100 hole.... but only managed one split to the 10 hole out of the many that he attempted. Having said that, he kept the break going brilliantly before touching up on 13,350. A quick go for Geoff and the Jenneral then finished the game off to take a well deserved win. The Bar Billiards Gods smiled on the "Noisy Neighbours" tonight who had most of the luck but deserved their win, plenty of banter and laughs with the opposition and a tasty curry with chips to warm us up.

County Oak A 4 - 1 County Oak B
Nigel 9220 6770 Jack Phil 10830 5140 Stuart Ian 4120 9530 Jean Gareth 8760 7850 Alan Marcus 5340 3860 Chelle
Although a 4-1 scoreline another close match with the A team. at least 3 of the games could have had a different result

Duke of Wellie 5 Bevendean A 0 No luck at all for the visitors giving the Home team a comfortable victory. Had Tupps not sunk the last two balls, Heather would have been top scorer for the Bev KT. 5990 v 1450 Sandra - Sandra lost her opening 2k and never got going again Dave 9480 v 890 Bella - Two nice breaks from Dave Mick W 5680 v 2710 Little legs - Not sure who wanted this one the most. Mick getting the decisive break late on Colin 4310 v 2610 Doug - Another thriller with Ciolin taking the spoils Tupps 3210 v 2690 Heather - Heather unlucky not to win as always, loads of laughs with Sandra and the gang. Lovely pizzas as usual

Bevy B 3 Hove Park Tavern 2 Good win for the Bevy with the away team having a slight challenge with the table. Rose 1410 v 1150 Dave. Rose ground out a win and it all came down to the the last ball. Zoe 4040 v 3660 James. Another close one with Zoe breaking well and James coming back but Zoe held on. Phil 5010 v 2530 Brian. Brian looked as if he'd got this one until a 2k break at the end saw Phil safely through. Martin 1920 v 2970 Colin. Martin never really got into this game and Colin winning a scrappy game. Ash 460 v 8840 Colin. Ash started well until hiding the ball behind the 100 hole and Colin using the last game as practice, got into his stride. An unlucky Ash with Colin putting in the highest score of 4920. Every one seemed to enjoy themselves and a good time was had (I hope)
