Springbok SC 1 Roffet SC 4 Bill 1690 Moose 4140 A nervous start from both players with Moose finding the break a bit of a challenge but eventually he started to make some inroads. Bill was playing a steady game, but was experiencing balls whipping out of the pockets defying gravity. Once settled Moose played his usual steady game and the point was in the bag. Robin 4840 Twiggy 2380 After almost a year out Robin put the highly experienced Twiggy to the sword and his teams mates (that's Twiggy's) took much joy in his demise. The truth is that Twiggy made one simply error early on loosing his first break and that was that. Robin does not need asking twice and poor Twigs was playing catch up throughout. Gary 440 Sniffer 8890 One way street this game and it has to be noted Gary probably has never scored less than this in his billiard playing lifetime. Sniffer started well as expected, but Gary was not deterred coming back well only to loose the 1500 points he had accumulated. Sniffer really was not going to let that mistake go and put over 4K on the board with his next visit. Gary simply had no response. Trevor 2990 Glyn 4310 Glyn started OK but left the break short after a couple of goes and Trevor had the chance to push ahead, but put too fine a cut on the ball. Glyn then put his head down and Trevor had it all to do, making a valiant effort, but running out of time. Mike 2350 Dick 2690 A very close game this with the lead going from one to another. Dick took the ealry lead only for Mike to claw his way in front. Nerves, little mistakes kept both players in contention, but it was Dicks tenacity that won through. Back to our usual result, but there was promise from Springbok and we were not overrun. Well dome Roffey, thanks for the banter, it is always a joy
