Branch line Horsham to Guildford to be restored ?

This would right the wrong of 50-odd years ago by Dr Beeching.

Just think, I'd be able to get to the White Hart from my house without having to negotiate all those twisty lanes ....

DREAM ON Everybody, there is more of a chance of a late bus service between Horsham and Cranleigh, now that would be EXCELLENT especially as I have a bus pass

I'm old enough to remember the steam trains from that era (pre-1963). Used to visit my rich uncle who lived at Smithwood Common. Then suddenly thanks to Dr Beeching I had to go by bicycle.
Also, each weekend I used to visit my grandparents in Loxwood (Riverview Cottage, next to the Onslow Arms). On the ramshackle old Mitchell's bus which used to take 2 hours to get there. Anyone remember that ?
