As regards the cup match at the Rocket between the Wellie and the Prestonville... Just thought I would add that the clock mechanism on this table is STILL playing up! During my leg when I was playing KT the thing failed 3 times! It jammed at the start of the game, then on my opening break the gate fell down... wonderful, great for the concentration. and while KT was on the table the gate dropped after it had been running for 10 minutes. The clock mechanism was not working properly when I was playing there 2 weeks ago, it even ran for over 20 mins! Maybe a worn out spring perhaps? Anyway, this top is home to a premier team in the Worthing League, it is clearly NOT a premier table worthy of the standard of players that have to suffer this....

Just to clarify this is also home to a premier team in the Brighton League and it most definitely IS a table worthy of that standard. The scores from last night certainly back that up in what sounds a high quality match. I will speak to Colin Green (the owner of the table) and will see if he can sort it out once and for all. He got it working again but obviously something has gone wrong...

Just to add my three pennyworth, Colin was on the premises prior to the match and with Terry having set the table up on Monday checked all he could. He ran the table for the duration 18.5 mins and left it for us to play, as I recall 4 games went without issue and it was unfortunate for Geoff to experience a delay when in the flow of battle but i don t see that Colin could have done more. The table played exquisitly it was the flattest truest top i have seen for a long time and only an individuals lack of ability would cause a miss.
