Stout House F 1 Three Bees 4
Grant Hope 990 Dave Lennon 2620 Dave Simmons 4450 Lin Lennon 1410 Lee Tugwell 940 Barry Dumbrill 4020 Scott Hope 1200 John Tudhope 2280 Colin Bolton 2450 Steve Eely 3000
Game 1: Dave did enough to win. Game 2: Dave did enough to win. Game 3: Due to lack of Daves in this game, Barry did enough to win. Game 4: I think both players will agree, John did enough to win. Game 5: Exciting finale. Colin came close but Slippery Steve did enough to win.
To be fair, both teams looked a bit rusty, Steve even creaked a couple of times. Although somewhat disappointed with the end result, I must concede the Three Bees team definitely did enough to win. Many thanks to Barry for the exceptional 'F' class gourmet sandwiches.
Man of the match: Slippery Steve - left the break short twice and still managed to clinch the game.

Springbok Club 2 Roffey Club 3
In order of play
Robin 1680 Sleesy 6180 I did not see the game as late on parade, however, Robin told me he was much of a spectator and Sleesy played well. Robin having not played for a quite a while and was a bit rusty. It was good to have Robin helping us out as he now lives a distant away.
Bill 2410 Twiggy 3040 A nervous start for Twiggy handed Bill the chance to press into the lead, one that he held for most of the game. Twiggy was finding the break a challenge which added to his anxiety, but eventually he pulled himself over the line.
Trevor 1880 Sniffer 3740 Sniffer let me in ealry leaving the break up short, and I should of capitalise on this more. Sniffer was working the table well to get the balls back but again struggled with the break. He found the break near the end to claim the point, but honestly he would have smashed me sooner had he found it earlier.
Gary 3650 Dick BP Another player who could not get to grips with the break was Dick and after a modest start he made a mistake and Gary forged ahead without any problems with the reverse handed break. Dick pressed on and was unlucky not to have got more from the game, but nudged the BP going for a difficult shot.
Trevor 2010 Moose 1790 Trevor playing under the 4 player rule. Moose again found the break a bit quirky and allowed me in early, he then got to grips and nudged ahead, this was pretty much the tone of the game until as the bar dropped he let me back in and i managed a match winning break, with some large chunks of luck along the way.
A great night and a good result for the BOk, but we acknowledge the boys did not fancy our break.
We are grateful they allowed us to reverse the fixture or we could not of put a team out. Next week we only have three players to date, so if anyone fancies helping us out it would be appreciated.
