Springbok Club 2 The White Hart 3
Mike 1020 John 2220 A bit of a shaky start from John allowed Mike to stay in touch, John was finding the break a bit awkward but as the table warmed up so did he and eventually pulled himself over the line.
Bill 1970 Trevor 1920 Yep, that close all the way through... Trevor was unlucky with a couple of shots, whilst Bill was pulling some classic shots out of the bag. The game came down to the wire with Bill needing the 100 pocket to secure the win.
Gary 2130 Dave 1920 An ealry slop by Dave let Gary in, but even though he had a modest break it did not put too much light between them. Dave persevered and clawed back some points, Gary lost 3500 on the way, but did enough to claim the point.
Chaz 830 Barney 2260 Barney was playing a Captains innings and made the early move, Chaz who is new to the game was making some inspired shots and frankly was unlucky, but as time goes by he will reverse these losses. Barney showed some inspired potting to build his score and even the game up.
Trevor 1820 Barney (4PR) 2260 (yes the same as the previous game) I broke, found the break and then left up short. Barney came back and it was fairly even along the way. Both had difficulty getting the balls back, I lost a modest score, which gave advantage to Barney who getting the break back nosed in front. With the bar dropped | had an opportunity but needed 300 from the last two balls, I got 30!!!!! but was close to the 200.
A decent enough evening with our good friends, always nice to catch up with a bit of banter.

Stout House F 1 Roffey SSC 4
Scott Hope 2970 Pete Fisher 3760 Lee Tugwell 870 Dick Cable 3460 Colin Bolton 1000 Steve Merritt 8690 Dave Simmons 4780 Dave Howlett 1070 Grant Hope 1290 Lee Cable 4340
Game 1: Close game, Scott cod have won but Fishy Pete left him floundering. Game 2: Homer made hard work of this one, nothing going Lee's way. Game 3: Sniffer more like Coffer this week. Didn't sound good but went off all guns blazing. Reckon his cough scored 1.5k...! Game 4: Twiggy talked himself out of the game this week. Dave happy to oblige. Game 5: Close for most of the game, Moose tucked in a few towards the end.
Usual fun and banter rounded off with a spread of Barry's finest F class sandwiches.
Man of the match: Twiggy for correctly nominating the result of his game. 😉
