So, we start another season! Our table had to be moved last night, so got in there tonight to find it in a right state! An hour or so later, got it playable! Ian started off with a steady game with Vince losing a bit courtesy of a black peg. In the return it was a similar story without the black peg! John-Joe started off well with over 2k, Keith then got 2k of his own and fortunately for us, Keith was first to get them back and get another couple. Keith played better in the 2nd but John-Joe lost a bit by putting the break down 4 times. I ran the table out in the first (I did apologise before the draw was done i was going to attempt it) Melvyn came off very early after getting a whipper on the 2nd break, i then got over 6k break and came off. Melvyn then got the break back and got a great break of 5,200 coming off with a few seconds left when around 900 behind, so it would have been very close had he finished it off!

A good draw for both on a cold night in Burford... I got two against Brian (who was not at his best), Steve shared with Tom with very similar scores and Terry took two off an OOF Turbo who usually plays this 'interesting' table very well. Table was OK with a bit of pace but still had it's idiosyncrasies.....my first shot went straight through the black! Good night though as ever and some nice baguettes for supper.
