Roffey H 1 Plough 4
Martin 1460 Mark 2860 - A collection of weird and wonderful shots was played in this. Tight game until Mark pulled ahead in the last two minutes Iain 3660 Geoff 4200 - Iain not being able to kill off the game and Geoff getting the break back at the end to edge it Malcolm 840 Dave 2700 - Malcolm unlucky to lose his opening break of just under 3k when missing a ball behind the 20. Dave staying ahead after that Stuart 5780 Steve 1280 - Steve off on 1k. I then proceeded to peg a 6k break but luckily Steve gave me a second chance and 5k and touch sealed it Steve 2200 Brian 3050 - A tight match with both not fully mastering the table but Chelsea player the better of the two
Well played to the Plough and a good night was had.
A sense of Deja Vu for Roffey H as last year in the Cup group stage we won our first match at the Limeburners, lost to the Plough in our second game and then needed to win our final game at the Stout House. The first two have happened again and lets hope the third part does as well

Roffey H 1 Plough 4 A sense of Deja Vu for Roffey H as last year in the Cup group stage we won our first match at the Limeburners, lost to the Plough in our second game and then needed to win our final game at the Stout House. The first two have happened again and lets hope the third part does as well Have worked it out that one way or the other Plough will be playing on Finals Night. They have 10pts and Roffey H and Limeburners - each on 6pts - play each other in the last round of heats. A big win for either of these could see them leapfrog Plough, but by the same dint someone has to lose and will accordingly finish below them.

The missing result from Tuesday: Windmill CC 3 Roffey CC B 2 @ Limeburners.
Apparently the 4-player rule was invoked, with Ozzie enjoying (?!) a second game on the night.

So Group 1 is still open, with a myriad of combinations possible............
Windmill CC - a win puts them through; also 2pts would give them 10pts to Y's 9. (The other two can only manage 9/8, 10/7, 11/6, 12/5 or 13/4)
Stout House - a win puts them through; they would have 11 to CC B's 6. The other match could yield 10/9, 11/8, 12/7, 13/6 or 14/5. But a 2-3 defeat could see them lose out on aggregate.
Roffey Y - need a win (4-1 to make sure): 3-2 puts them on 9 to Windmill's 10 (might be enough if the other match goes Stout 2 (9pts), CCB 3 (8pts)
Roffey CC B - need a big win (5-0 to make sure): 4-1 puts them on 9 to Stout's 8 (might be enough if the other match goes Y 3 (9pts), Wmill 2 (10pts) or Y 4 (10pts) Wmill 1 (9pts) - anything else the 5-0 win would see them through.

The Plough table played a lot better than expected tonight, order of play changed due to Peter and Colin arriving late due to Lewes BB Committee meeting The decider was close at the end with about 400 points in it on the last ball
Nice sarnies at the end thanks to the Plough

Hi Kieron, All in the hands of our intrepid Competitions Secretary, Hoppo. I've given him a nudge and he has been a bit busy but promised an update soon (which I'll then feed into the Horsham website).
He did say that he was missing a result - that of Roffey Y v Windmill CC - so perhaps you may be in a position to help ! Clive T

It went Roffey Y 3, Windmill CC 2 (@ Roffey CC) So despite losing, Windmill finish on 10pts and win Group One and will play Plough in the main Cup Final on Finals Night.
There is a tie for runners-up in Group One between Stout House and Roffey Y, both on 9pts. Aggregate scores will decide which of these teams has the right to play Roffey H in the Plate Final, and for this we await the official confirmation from Comps Secretary Hoppo.
Latest known position here:

Apologies for the delay in getting this out due to work committments and how tight Group Awas we wanted to make sure that we got the final table right.
Please see below final group tables. Congratulations to the Plough and the Windmill for winning their groups and they will play in the team cup final. Roffey H and the Stout House finished runners up and will play in the plate.
With one point per leg won and then a bonus point if you won the overall match it came to aggrregate in Group A with the Stout House coming out on top.
Best of luck to all at finals night
