Hello everyone! I joined this group since I recently made a trip to the UK and was introduced to bar billiards. Wow - what a game! I have joined to see if anyone has any blueprints for a DIY table. I am an amateur woodworker and would love nothing more than to build my own table and introduce this wonderful game in the U.S. I have found one link online; however, the measurements do not appear to be complete and are a bit confusing. After an exhaustive google search, the link below is the only one I've seen. www.billiardsforum.com/file/view?f=%2Ffile%2Fbilliard-room%2Fbar-billiards-table-plans.pdfDoes anyone in this group have any blueprints they would be willing to share? Thank you all in advance and thank you for letting me into the group :) -Hilary

And yes i agree it is a very confusing drawing. I do not have full blue print drawings but i have many photos of tables i have refurbished and built , i have some ' drawings ' and sketches . Contact me on alanalanx@aol.com , i may be able to help you further . Alan

there has been a small article on a couple of bars in the states that had tables fr i guess the novelty value. did you see that thread? another table was being auctioned off. the other thing is to fly to jamaica and make contact with the 12 teams that play there. there are meant to have been hundreds and hundreds of tables out there yet only 12 teams left.
finally, you have the clock/timer.
Alan and I can certainly keep you going with photos. the reason I say see another table is because it is easier!
cheers
Taffy

Have contacted , Hilary and i am going to send a memory stick to Buffalo with loads of photos on it and some sketches . But it aint that easy to build a table from scratch , there are lots of things you need which are not readily available on a 1 off basis . Good luck to them if they are willing to have a go . Hi Alan, don’t suppose you could email the bed dimensions with hole positions, I’m wanting to make a table, just need to know the layout. Can’t seem to find any slate beds for sale so I’m going to make one, not sure how Lakeland slate will work out but if you don’t try you’ll never know. Cheers greggstephenson@hotmail.com

Mercury Leisure offer 19mm slates for Jelkes or Supreme pre-fitted with cloth and rings, or for SAMS or Riley, cut to order, price on application.
They also offer the following specifically for export:

I have enquired about these Trespa tops twice now and got no response from Mercury. It is remarkable stuff - we used to put our microbalances on a three inch thick slab of marble for stability but 15mm of Trespa (half inch) did the same job. (much lighter than slate!!) Tony
