Hmmmm, doesn't the fact that the Specflue 4 pin open has sold out in under 2 weeks with all 64 places taken tell you something? This year our open was fully subscribed with over two months to go, but our open for next year has sold out with three months still to go Four Pin is fun we all appreciate that some three pin players won't give our version a try, but those that do, keep coming back so we must be doing something right. And remember our open is self funding so on the day all money collected from donations, raffles etc goes directly to charity. We are proud of our open and its rules and hopefully in 2020 we will be recognised as the world four pin championship

I've moved all the off-topic stuff to a new thread in the Four Pin board, please continue discussion on possible formats that are not applicable to 2019 there.
[Edit] I've also split the section up into four pin open and Sudbury league

I not seen a results sheet for any of the 6 comps I've entered in the two years I've been around for them. 2 x EA open 4-pin 2 x National open 4-pin 2 x Suffolk 4s
I'd love a copy to keep of last March.
cheers

It's all there on the AEBBA website, Taffy, if you know where to look ...
Also, National Rankings, I see you're ranked 103rd - not bad for a 4-Pinner !

The draw for the EA Open 2019 will be taking place on Tuesday January 8th from around 8pm. Hopefully I will be able to get a live feed going, either on the Suffolk Bar Billiards Association Page or the Sudbury & District Page, i'm not admin on the Suffolk one.
As soon as the draw is complete and agreed correct I shall post t he draw on here.
A programme including times will be sent out, if you supplied your names and addresses when entering but will all be updated on here and also the Facebook pages mentioned earlier.

Taffy, I've just e-mailed you over the results from last yers and 2017's Open Thanks Steve I just checked the combined two leg score and thought how good the final was for it to produce 7,000 points in two legs....wow! and then i checked the semi's and was humbled by your and Carl's combined of 7,400. so i thought that was it and was coming on here to tip my cap and just thought I'd check back and ph*q me if Chris Haynes and i didn't get nearly 8,000 between us over two legs. if Haynesy turns up this year on spritzers....I'll get my coat! I then checked the combined two leg scores against 2017 and they stand up very well against the old wide table except when Nigel *"opened his legs and showed us his class" other than him and a well played game of narrow stands up well. Taffy *a quote from cricket commentary. one of the funniest things i've ever heard....

Please find listed below the Draw for the 2019 East Anglian Open Programmes for the day will be sent out soon, but for informational purposes. Last years Groups 1-8 started at 10.30am and groups 9-16 started at 1pm The draw has certainly thrown up some interesting group fixtures, none more so than in Group 10 when the two best performing players in this tournaments history face off in Nigel Senior & Curt Driver. Further information on the day will be forthcoming on here and the Suffolk Bar Billiards Association Website Group Number | Player 1 | Player 2 | Player 3 | Player 4 |

As long as Dave UK has booked my room for Friday and Saturday I am happy - as the event itself is a total day of competitive but also fun Bar Billiards xxx

Am I right that there may be a doubles on Friday evening? Chroist, who's going to be in a fit state? Would put a lot of pressure on getting the tables ready on Friday afternoon!

Am I right that there may be a doubles on Friday evening? Hi Chris, hope all is well. We have discussed a possibility of running another tournament, this year will not be the one and I believe that the general beverage fest at the Bay Horse will be taking place as normal. Maybe we could run a small tournament out of there for the evening, a pot luck pairs maybe? It is something that we may well consider in future, but as Sav has stated it's a bit of pressure in getting everything set up on the Friday ready for a tournament.
