I was brousing around on the web the other day and came across this picture. It looks pretty old - maybe 1930s? Has anyone else got any old or unusual pics?? Martin. ps hope this thread isn't a repeat - if so, sorry!

Love the girl in the fur coat - hasn't the dress code relaxed a lot! Nice hand action. Look like a girl who would like to keep a firm grip on the situation !

Can't remember her name but I'm sure she knocked Pete Sainsbury out of the Tunbridge Wells singes in nineteen hundred and frozen to death etc. etc. etc. either that or it's Mick Heasman in drag. ;D

I've found a still of Sean playing in his basement: Margo's just spotted that it's the 4-pin version that he's playing.

I thought it was more of a likeness to Ian Champion of Guernsey....Champs's grandfather, perhaps ?
I'll see what i can dig out again from before.

I'm sure he means the other Bernie, Bernie - the Freddie Mercury double. ;) So the line-up, from left to right, is Paul 'the Hustler' Newman; Joe Davis; Bernie McCluskey and Katie Tunstall. In our dining room we have a similar picture of Elvis Presley, Humphrey Bogart, Marilyn Monroe and James Dean playing pool ! ;D Looks more like Jason Holley (dog & Sausage) or even Mr Race on the left.....;) Yeah, Terry Race...............so we have four former World Champions in the picture ! ;D

Re Tommo's comments elsewhere, the cats print I believe he was referring to is attached. Much of the meaning of this thread has been lost due to a free hosted Tinypic image no longer being available. Please do not use free hosting sites for this reason. Use attachments but keep the sizes down!! Sav Attachments:

Also found this in the Oxford Mail Memory Lane column. Well known players of the day pictured are Ogmore Roberts, Don Young and Clive Wallin are pictured and the dress code is quite impressive! ;D Many of the players in teams in the 60s and 70s used to dress in suits and ties - some in hats even! :o Sav might recognise the guy in the centre of this picture with the tie and 'tash from his Xmas excursion to the Railway (the wrinkled guy I was speaking to on the bar stool) ;) Attachments:
