Albion C 1-4 Swan A **Matthew Knight 5830 - 2820 Terry Denyer - another vintage 4 break to 1 performance in leg 1 Nigel Senior 160 - 6770 Barry Holt** - a break each and not much on the board. Excellent clear from Baz built a 3k lead, Nige knocked the black peg over trying to clear an awkward ball, no chance from then on Jean Brackenridge 1270 - 6020 Roger Taylor** - 3 breaks for Rog, getting a few each time, none for Jean **Michelle Baden 1940 - 4020 Doug Mahy - 2 breaks for Michelle as Doug struggled to get them back. He did so late on and made sure Chris Tupper 1000 - 8700 Reverend Colin Green** - As much as it pains me to type this the Reverend played superbly with a 7k break, far exceeding what anyone else got to give Tupps no chance Well done to the Swan on a thoroughly deserved win, they always play pretty well on our top, however tricky it is (and tonight was no exception). Plenty of the usual banter, good fun night despite the result

Alexandra 1 Henty 4
Another high scoring game at the Alex.
Joe beat Chocie, Joe 10k+ and touch Mal lost to Fitz, Fitz 10k and touch Rick lost to Martin, Martin 10k and touch Pete lost to Molly, Pete missed opening break, Terry first to get them back 10k and touch Steve lost to KT. Strange last game with Kevin 2 breaks and only 2k, Steve could not get them back, KT made sure next break.
Excellent night with the Henty, always going to be tough when table playing well, but only one missed chance on the break and the opposition made sure in one hit.

Mr Ridley.
Mr Burgess, our early evening captain for 40% of the proceedings last Thursday, is very upset that he appears to have been totally forgotten in your write up.
I agree.
In the absence of both you and skippy it was he who formulated the plan for the downing of the dastardly Dickens on their own patch.
That now makes 1.4 evenings of bar billiards in 18 years where he has been unbeaten as stand-in captain (the first 2 legs last Thursday at 1-1 and all of some forgotten game somewhere aeons ago that we won) and he thinks he deserves some recognition of this outstanding achievement.
Barney (4th reserve captain now that Mr Brown appears to have done a runner).

Barney (4th reserve captain now that Mr Brown appears to have done a runner). You are correct Mr 4th reserve captain, as is Mr early evening captain. There was a plan that was formulated which Ros and I followed in the proceedings of legs 3 & 4 and I acknowledge that I did keep my write up short. I am of course happy to set the record straight and accept that I am perhaps merely Murdock as opposed to Hannibal in terms of a plan coming together.
