Results 19th. Feb.
Dew Drop 5 - 1 Henty A, Henty B 6 - 0 BLEP, LBSC 4 - 2 Dolphin, Locomotive W 2 - 4 Swan B, Sea View 1 - 5 Locomotive A, Swan A 0 - 6 Alexandra.
Open Date: Prince of Wales.
With the league leaders having an open date this week it presented the opportunity for their two closest pursuers to close the gap for which they duly obliged. However it was n't plain sailing for the Swan B but they managed to clamber across the line, away to the Locomotive W by winning both doubles games.
Henty B won all games at home against the Legionnaires, who must be glad they have completed their trips to the Ferring establishment, losing 5 - 1 in the previous week's visit to the A team. Ian Lelliott scoring a near 12k with all other scores at 7k or more.
The Dew Drop made their home advantage pay when they thrashed the Henty A, 5 games to 1 in a low scoring affair, but to be fair to the Henty side they were without probably their best player.
Sea View are finding their A team status a difficult burden to carry as they lost at home to the Locomotive A 1 - 5, new signing Mark Brown won his singles game being the only shining light for Stan's team.
Great Expectations were anticipated after the Swan A's move to the Charles Dickens but these were dashed when they failed to win a single game in their match at their new home against the Alexandra, some high scores from the visitors with Pete Hickman tops with over 10k.
And finally, well done to the LBSC, winning their first league game of the season 4 - 2 at home over the Dolphin.
