Hi Everybody
A very close match was played that ended in a draw and a point for each team
This point means that the Mighty A team will now have 5 Points and will play Roffey SSC in the Team Cup Plate on finals night
Game 1 Grant played Tony, a very low scoring game and after Tony lost his opening break nothing went to plan for either player
Game 2 Another close game between Stuart and Barry, but towards the end of the game Stuart's black peg did not help his cause
Game 3 Scott took an early 2k lead against me, I caught up and looked as if I would win, but I missed the break and so Scott won a good match
Game 4 Colin took a good lead against Jim and seemed to be in control, until Jim had the bright idea of just potting balls into the left hand 50 pocket. With one ball remaining near the 20 pocket Colin needed 120 points to level the score, which he did with ease
Game 5 Best scoring game of the night between Dave and Chelsea, Dave had an early lead but a good break by Chelsea won the game to draw the match
Scores will be added by Dave who has the scorecard
Best Wishes

Stout House F 2.5 Stout House A 2.5 played at The Stout House
Grant Hope* 1490 Tony Clasby 970 Stuart Hope 220 Barry Lawson* 1820 Scott Hope* 2730 John Tidy 2330 Colin Bolton 2400 Jim Balchin* 2400 Dave Simmons* 2770 Brian Marten 3540
Game 1: In true Stout House derby style, this was a buttock-clenchingly awful game which both Grant and Tony tried hard not to win. Grant found himself far enough in front at the end to be awarded the frame. Game 2: Another heavy game. Just when Barry had resigned himself to having probably come second, Pops took a ball up the middle too close to the centre line and toppled the Black. That wasn't in the script. Game 3: An early 1k6 from Scott of the Carfax kept his nose in front. JT closing in at the end just didn't have enough balls. Game 4: Close game all the way, Colin in front most of the game, Dillon sneaked 110 in front. Colin only went and potted both for 110 for the draw. Game 5: Marginally more epic game with a whole point to play for. Having both messed up their openers, Dave strung out a 2k only to let Chelsea in for a 3k. Table wasn't giving anything away after that.
Match played in the usual spirit of things, rounded off with a spread of Barry's finest F-class gourmet sandwiches and Piggy pies.
Man of the Match: Only one choice this week. 110 behind and a ball on the top cushion between the 10 and rh20, Colin successfully potted the 10 and swung the other ball into the 100 for the draw. Classic!
