Dew Drop 2 – 4 Locomotive W
A low scoring match, Simon Downs the only singles winner for the home team, Alan Hitchman, Seamus Prepens and Gareth Cornford winning their singles for the wheel tappers.
LBSC 4 – 2 Alexandra.
Another low scoring affair with the badminton boys winning all 4 singles. This completes the league season for the visitors and well done to Chris Cox, Ben Goodwin and Peter Hickman who played in all 24 matches.
Locomotive A 5 – 1 BLEP
The hosts set up a comfortable victory by winning the first 3 singles in yet another low scoring match, it was good to see Eric Hampton (probably the home side's best player) return to winning action following a long absence due to illness.
Sea View 3 – 3 Henty B
Honours even with both team captains showing the way, Stan for the home team with 10k, Stuart Mepham for the visitors with 11.1k.
Swan A 2 – 4 Swan B
A rivalry with the result having a significant bearing in deciding this year’s champions. In general many high scores, the pick being 18.4k from Nigel Senior. In the father versus son clash, Phil Oakley got the better of his offspring Joe, both players scoring well. With the Prince of Wales’ game postponed this result places the Swan B at the top of the table.
