Hi All, This post is to inform you that entries are now being taken for this competition which will once more be hosted in Northampton the day before the Northants Open. The event takes place at the ever popular The Cock Inn on the 16th May. Given the positive feedback regarding the 2019 format, we have opted to retain the 48 places so everyone will have plenty of opportunities to play. In addition, Rob & Liz from The Cock have kindly offered to put on a karaoke evening to follow this event subject to enough interest. If you are keen to attend this please do let me know so that I can give them an idea of numbers to make it cost effective. Full details can be found here: aebba.co.uk/aebba-4-pin-open-championships-2020/We look forward to seeing you there! Best wishes, Lorin

Only 1 space left, so please be quick if you'd like to play.
We are making a reserves list in the event of someone not being able to attend.

The entry list is now full - if you'd still like to be part of it, please add your name to the reserve list as it is always possible we will have someone unable to make it at short(wish) notice.
Thanks to everyone for supporting this event again this year.

Hello everyone,
Further to my post on another thread, I can confirm that the AEBBA has taken the difficult decision to postpone this event. It remains an important event in our calendar as a result of it's popularity and so we will seek to host it when we can. An 'optimistic' date has been earmarked for 21st November.
All entry fees paid can be returned or held for the rearranged event as you wish. Do let me know if you'd like your fee returned and I will make the necessary arrangements.
I'd like to thank everyone who entered this event and look forward to seeing you all at the rearranged event when it happens.
Best wishes,
Lorin

Could anyone confirm if this tournament is definitely going ahead on the 21st of November. I’m aware that it’s still a couple of months away but wondering if any further thoughts had been discussed

Cheers for that Tommo. Been a while since I’ve been on here. Looks like I’ll have to move my hotel booking again. Trust you’re well. Steve Funny you should ask that, Steve .....Triplex posted this message on the thread re the Northants Open today: Quote:

Hi Steve, yes okay here, though - like many I expect - sad that most events on the mainland have been cancelled for this year.
Was hoping that end of Aug would see a relaxing in UK from level 3 to level 2, but the pandemic has not died down sufficiently apparently (situation has worsened in Scotland).
Most leagues would normally be starting their winter leagues round about now and I am suffering bar billiards withdrawal symptoms .... was even thinking of asking to go on the reserve list for the Northants !!!
Fingers crossed that happier times are around the corner........

With reference to people who paid upfront for the AEBBA 4 Pin Event by PayPal, this has already been given to the AEBBA treasurer.
I believe these payments are owed to the following:-
Lorin Clough Phil Osbourne Colin Southouse Mark Trafford John Tyson Tony Jenner James Whittle
One point to make is that obviously we at Northants are still planning to run a 3/4 Pin tournament next year, but there is a possibility that our 4 Pin may not be the AEBBA one as I believe other Counties may apply for it. In this case the money you’ve paid won’t enter you in our 4 pin tournament. So you may want to still leave your prepayment with them for wherever it is or claim it back from the AEBBA, alternatively I’m more than happy to assist in getting it back for you.
Hope this makes sense.
Ps If you gave me cash then we at Northants still have that😉
