Salfords Y beat Nomads 3-2 in a close game where many games could have gone either way. Mark Fraser went off with 9100 to beat his own high home break

Old Oak 4 Horley CC 1 Clive 4820, Bob 1170 (Bob started well then luck deserted him)Martin 3560, Roland 3210 (close run thing, Martin thought he had blown it when he lost 1k towards the end)Charlie 300, Chris 1450 (Greek tragedy, Charlie black-pegging with the game won)Dave 3320, Nev 1040 (similar fate to Bob)Paul 5550, Benny 2530 (best score of the night, and counting on our fingers afterwards we worked out that somehow he was done out of a thousand !)
Quercus taking advantage of no Alex - last year he played twice and won 'em both !

Spcca 5 Salfords A 0
Dave 9370 Terri 1450 Vern 5340 Yvonne 1350 Laurie 4360 Vince Nil John 8900 Sheila 2500 Tracy 4640 Sheila 2250 4 player
First up oh dear what draw dave and terri never easy to play each other. Terri on first going really well broke down.Dave next to get the balls back perhaps remembering last time they played 6k break and touch.Terri not having much luck, another 3k took the frame.
Next on Vern and Yvonne. Vern with a 3k break was never going to be in trouble, and a nice shot friendly leg was played.
Laurie and Vince on 3rd similar to the previous leg,a good lead never in trouble.
John and Sheila next,Sheila off early and John got the break back. 5k break and touch, Sheila with a 1500 pulled some back, but John played time out.
Tracy on last against Sheila (4 player) Tracy on break played really well with a near 4k break. Sheila chipping away at Tracy's score was getting nearer and the break back gave her a chance. A very unlucky loss of 2k at the end handed the match to Tracy.
A lovely friendly evening with the Salfords A rounded off with loads of Junkies mums sardines.
