Dear All
I am very saddened and truly disappointed to learn that rooms were changed at Bournemouth by the QUEENS Hotel!,
I must add that one couple was not even booked in after the hotel made changes to our room lists that have been sent constantly to the Queens and never did they once say they were changing anything on our rooming lists...
The couple concerned were allocated 103 on our spreadsheet and this was sent to the hotel. I have the email trail.
This room change was done by the hotel and there was absolutely NO CONTACT BY THE HOTEL THAT THEY WERE DOING THIS TO MYSELF OR SAV. ALL ROOM CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE BY THE HOTEL themselves... the rooms Sav gave you they had ...but nothing was ever emailed back to say you would not get the rooms you were allocated.
Despite the changes i assure you that neither Sav or I were contacted by any member of the team at the Queens that this would happen.
I am more than disappointed by the way this has happened and will contact Mercure who now own the Hotel.
Sav will put up the rooms in members only area with the lead guest which was the final document sent March 4th. I believe no one has even read this at the hotel until today !!! Too late !!!

Yes, judging by the phone calls and messages flying around yesterday and today this weekend has gone from bad to worse. Those affected, please be patient with Lorin as the only organiser present, he has had little involvement.
On 29th Jan The Queens were sent the rooming list, we then received the first information regarding the redecoration. That information proved to be incomplete.
With the announcement of the redecoration, on 12th Feb Queens asked for and were given clarification of whom were on the top two floors and would be affected and whom were on the bottom two floors. Chrissie was turning cartwheels trying to keep parties together. Two separate lists including room numbers were supplied to the Queens.
On 21st Feb AEBBA received the hotel invoice though it was not drawn up by individual room in the form we supplied and have dealt with in the past. The invoice agreed with our rooming list apart from a few pounds which I found to be a slight undercharge mistake on my part on one room. Thus as far as we were aware Queens had acted upon our information.
It was not until the final week that Lorin found out by accident, during a phone call he made to the hotel!, that the main function room was not available, too late for us to manoeuvre.
In the final run in, I personally have supplied the Queens with full rooming lists to accommodate the last minute changes and to make sure everything was correct, on 3rd, 4th and 5th March.
I have no idea why those rooming lists have not been adhered to as the Queens have done in the past.
Please accept our assurances that Chrissie, Lorin and I have done everything we could to ensure the weekend went ahead as smoothly and as seamlessly as possible, despite the difficulties heaped upon us over the unannounced redecoration.
