Colin Smith & Mick Winder 9,440 Ros Appleby & Roger Taylor 9,410 Colin's first win cheers Mick! Over the moon with this magnificent victory, i can meet my maker knowing i played brilliantly winning with the last ball down the hundred to seal. Reminded me of the time at the New Oak when i stuffed Silent with an equally brilliant recovery and last ball in the 100, i don t think he has recovered from this as he seems to have lost his voice on here, I hope you are ok Matt as the silence is deafening. Thank you for your concern Colin, I am fine considering the lack of p**s taking from you and your teammates at the Wellie. You have gone some way to rectifying this situation bringing up your "brilliant recovery" in our match at the New Oak with your sensational 3 breaks and "recovery" shots that most people could only dream about (especially the many flukes) As you can see I have not forgotten about it nor I am still bitter about it Hope you are well too

Has Winder let Marmite down or did his luck run out!!! Come on Tony, my luck will never run out, 52 years of playing this game and 52 years of luck . Love it . Nice to hear from Silent, although his memory of events seems to have been affected by isolation, for those not present he was silenced ( for once ), but missing the banter. Stay safe everyone.

And the quarter final draw BLIND PAIRS QUARTER FINAL | | | |
---|
1 | Denise Wills & Neil Higgins | v | Jon Tyson & Mat Ogier | 2 | Joe Oakley & Mark Trafford | v | Ian Lelliott & Peter Phillips | 3 | Jason Neal & Alan Brackenridge | v | Stephen Hopkins & Keith Sheard | 4 | Ash Harrison & Matt Knight | v | Mike Daw & Hayley Tunstall |
Latest odds with bookies comments 4/5 Oakley and Trafford - clear favourites as long as Traff has the break and Joseph steers clear of the carling, peroni, san miguel, guinness, JD, captain morgan, shots..... 11/2 Hopkins and Sheard - never write of Sheardy, and the improving Hoppo by his side 7/1 Neal and Brackenridge - very steady pairing, Northants champ and big Al, he'll be waiting whatever to take the tables down 8/1 Lelliott and Phillips - doubt Ian knows this is even going on but hope he brings the chocolates, with Pete part of a great doubles pairing and an AEBBA champ 9/1 Harrison and Knight - Almost Silent and Silent, drinker and non-drinker what a pairing, and what a win in the last round, could probably score the final too 9/1 Daw and Tunstall - Quiet but deadly and deadly, top pair 9/1 Wills and Higgins - Top lady, better than pretty much all those Redhill blokes and the Hurricane with Lyn by his side 33/1 Iron Mike and Ogier - Deadly stare Tyson, even more scary when he is playing football and the nicest Mat left in the competition
My virtual tenner goes on the 11/2 second favourites, the bookies never lose, right?
