A friendly bar billiards game here, every one adhering to the social distancing rules and hygiene rules, both players and scorer washing hands before and after game, clean table and balls before each game. It can work if you want it to!

A very good evening and as Sandra says one that felt safe and it was good to catch up. Every there chose to attend and hygeine was adhered to fully.
It has to be pointed out that the pub has the room to allow this to happen and not all venues are so lucky but did prove we can in the right circumstances and at the right venue manage two teams socially distanced.
The main problem that can arise is transportation as car sharing with someone not in your bubble would seem to go against all advic, but that I am sure is something people will solve if they want to play.
It was good to meet up but this has to be a persons own choice and no pressure to be appled, also as the guidelines stand only in those venues that lend themselves to adhereing to the rules.

Another good nightt, a few teething problems soted after a chat with the landlady and extra seating arranged for all. Going forward the landlady has seen what the problems will be and how the seating has to be arranged so social distancing can be adhered to. Table service only operation, all that are not on the table actually playng tobe seated and balls, table, scoreboard cleansed at end of each frame.
To start have to admit reservations on playing safely and concerns raised by a few but once we had the discussion with a very concerned landlady all was good. Not sure how many venues will be able to accomadate team games safely but good to at least feel the game is being played. The road ahead still going to be a rocky one and just another nailin the coffin of bar billiards if wwe do not make some sort of effort to liaise with landlords and play some friendlies safely.
