It has been decided with the latest guidelines and restrictions in place that we will not hold any committee meetings (even virtual) until such time as things are settled and we can consider resuming playing safely and within the government guidelines. Once there is definite news the committee will meet and set a date for an AGM and then discussions can take place about 2020 to 2021 season and how we will play for the rest of that season.
We would hope that we will be able to resume full league fixtures and events for the 2021 to 2022 season in September 2021. Hopefully by then the vaccine will have been widely administered and we can get back to playing our wonderful game. Hope everyone is staying safe and wishing you all a Happy New Year.
The future is going to depend on venues, players and teams wishing to play and I am sure as in the past the Worthing League will rise above these trying times and thrive once again in its usual competitive and sporting manner.
Tony Jenner
Worthing League Chairman.
