As the bell sounds for the final round, tommo makes one last determined effort to win on points: ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
2) Total fights 82; Wins 57 (51 by K/O); Losses 23; Draws 1
16) Lou Filipo
12) There were two: the U.S. Heavyweight Eddie 'El Annimal' Lopez, and also the Panamaian Roberto Duran, who though a light-to-middleweight, Rocky uses as a rapid-punch sparring partner.

If your answer to 23) is correct, I think you'll find that there is now only one - number 9) - left to get, now, Beefy.

I hope you score better at bar billiards than your adding up here suggests..... So I go for Total 81 Wins 57 Losses 23 Draws 1

Well, I'll ignore your other cheeky comment, but I certainly agree with you on that, we should let Nigel administer his own quiz rather than attempt to do it for him. ;)

Ok heres an update
2) Rocky's career record is 81 fights 57 wins (51 K/O) 23 losses and 1 draw. I will give Tommo a point and also Beefy a bonus point for pointing out the correct number of fights. However I am dubious a draw should count to his record as it was against Thunderlips the wrestler! 3) H&J are correct 12) Tommo's point - I was looking for Roberto Duran 16) Lou Filipo refereed the second fight I am looking for the ref of the first fight. 20) Point to H&J 23) Not Tommy Gunn, beefy 27) Good answer Tommo, 1 point 28) Not Roy Jones, Tommo 30) Yep it was the Simpson, 1 point to H&J
OK leaderboard now stands Beefy 12 points Tommo 10 points H&J 4 points
Still to get 9,16,23,28,29
Come on Tommo still time to land Beefy a knockout blow

Seems I lost on a points decision. ;) ;D
When are you going to see the new film then, Nigel ? Tomorrow night ?
Careful if you have a ringside seat - Margo and I went to see the Da Vinci Code at the local multiplex and were right up front close to the giant screen. One scene nearly made us jump out of our skins !

Elsie gets the final point - Joe frazier is correct
Final leaderboard
Beefy 12pts Tommmo 10pts H&J 8pts Elsie 1pt
Tommo, I saw the film yesterday, and recommend it if you are a Rocky fan. At least we can put to bed the tripe that was Rocky V and Rocky has the send of he deserves. Stallone has ticked the boxes in this one - - Rocky makes a comeback from retirement - Rocky runs up the steps to 'gonna fly now', - Rocky trains to a musical montage, where he can't lift heavy weights at the beginning of the sequence and then can lift them by the end of the music. - There is a cameo of a very famous boxer (not Tarver) I won't tell you who as it will spoil it if you are going to see it. - Rocky gets back in the ring, where it looks like he will get beaten badly, but gets up from the canvas and fights back.
It would have been cool if he brought back Mr T or Ivan Drago - but Spider Rico (the guy he fought in the chapel in Rocky I) is there!
We now await Rambo IV!
