Well I would put it like this, the break was there, one up and splits once you figure it out as I proved after the match as I was determined to see if it was really that bad to get the break on. No one during all 6 games cycled the break via 3 times, one up and split shot (any combination) the scores speak for themselves. If i remember rightly, hardly any size-able scores over 500 were lost in any of the games! It was just a nightmare to get the balls back - only happened in two games where both players had a go at the break. People can draw their own conclusions, but as a neutral table it was shocking! But it did lead to all of the games, bar the last one being decided in the last 2 minutes so any scoreline from 1-5 to 6-0 was possible last week.

The Con club table requires two new rails as they are solid and throws the ball off at the wrong angle and also needs a new black peg as it leans over about 10mm very off puting

I play adhoc in this league as you know! Yet, my scores on that table since the restart speak for themselves..... If you want to start on about bad pockets and cushions....I suggest just about every table has this problem bar the oracle .. and for the record, another table I hit decent scores on in my bit part appearance

Beefy the break is fine so you will get good scores but the side cushions are knackered i dont believe 150 years of playing we could all be wrong, the black peg needs replacing, Dave said there was plans before covid to get some things sorted

Interesting you say this Keith as this is something that people say about the HCC table and you always dismiss it because you can get reasonable scores on it. So as i have pointed out to you before, it makes a big difference having a practice on the table! I rest my case! lol

But it did lead to all of the games, bar the last one being decided in the last 2 minutes so any scoreline from 1-5 to 6-0 was possible last week. I saw these comments while I was on holiday so last night decided to go and have a look at the table and can say that the table is playing exactly as it has since the restart. I didn't have any problem cycling the break and did this on my first go after not playing the table for 2 months. I also had little problem getting the balls back but understand that, at times, this can be quite difficult. I also understand that the table is not perfect (like many tables I could name) but it is the best we can get it and, as there are 2 teams playing at the Vikings, this continued "slating" of our table needs to stop. I don't understand how you can say "as a neutral table it was shocking!" when surely, the table is the same for both teams and therefore has to be neutral! Maybe it's because you lost?? If you want some statistics comparing the scores on the Vikings to those on the HCC and any other so called "difficult" table I would be happy to put them together and then, hopefully, the "bad mouthing" will stop. Everyone wanted to get back to playing Bar Billiards
