Good evening all,
Firstly, apologies from Graeme and I on the lateness of our communications - it is amazing what COVID does and the returning freedom to a Jerseyman.
The good news is, the tournaments are proceeding as usual with entry forms currently being prepared to be published on here within the next 10 days.
Entries will be open immediately upon them being issued, with a closing date of 31st October and entry forms will be accepted by return e-mail, rather than postal and Bank remittance rather than cheque (all information will be on the form).
A highlight to the weekend, on top of the usual events will be a LIVE draw on the Friday evening for the singles event (Doubles will be drawn in advance as normal), therefore apologies in advance for whom you may be drawn against and the time of day you play :-)
Finally, a reminder that it is 5th, 6th & 7th November
Keep an eye out on here - forms to arrive soon.
Sean

Is it not usually the last 64 that is a live draw ? Regards Keith confused.com

Evening Keith,
Tipster can still be done but like our event may need to take a new format - i.e. 'fast tipsters' - less than 12 hours to submit......
Your correct, the Last 64 is usually the live draw and it will continue to be so - we are just trying something different for the 40th year, so bear with us.

Good evening all, I am pleased to finally issue the 40th Anniversary World Championship entry forms. Due to issues with out website and our Bank I have a couple of points to make: 1. The entry forms are available via the following 'One drive' link until closing date: Entry forms2. Due to inactivity in the Bar Billiard community in Jersey for the last 18 months the Bank has frozen our account, therefore please ensure you remit funds to the exact details on the forms, or make cheques payable to the details provided, clearly indicating in the area provided on the form how you are paying. The funds will then be monitored by both Graeme and I. To ensure quicker receipt of entry forms please send them to "sdlebeuvant 'at' gmail.com" (Replace 'at' with @) and if paying by cheque your names will be entered, pending receipt of it. Likewise, if you for some reason cannot open the link then e-mail me and I shall reply attaching them. Looking forward to catching up with you all. Sean & Graeme

I read today in the J.E.P. that two Hotels are closing down permanently this week. The Revere and The Stafford in Kensington Place. These two Hotels were convenient places to stay when the Jersey Open was held at The Inn on The Park, some of us veterans may remember.

You can add the Mayfair and the Apollo to that list as well - will be shut by next years tournament
