Results.Henty B 3 - 3 Alexandra, Locomotive A 3 - 3 Prince of Wales, White Hart 1 - 5 Henty A, BLEP P - P Locomotive B. Open Date: Vine Tarring. A high scoring game at the Henty saw the Bees draw against the Alex. Stuart Mepham and Ian Lelliott both recording 10k+ scores for the home team to sail into 2-0 lead. However Pete Hickman and Chris Cox had other ideas and both replied with their singles victories, doubles games ending one a piece. Another good game at the Locomotive saw the home team also draw 3 - 3. Martin Cole and Dave Ingram winning their singles games for the visitors, league stalwart Mr H and Dave Simmonds tying the game after the singles. Pairs games were honours even. The newly formed and relatively inexperience White Hart team and without their captain this week, put up a good spirited display against the Henty A. The scoreline of 1 - 5 did n't do the home team's performance justice, they will definitely improve as the season progresses, well done to Phil Milner, winning his first singles game for the home team. Henty B v Alex could have been very different if breaks had not been lost, I missed a ball behind the 10 hole when on a 7k plus break to let Pete back in and Terry Molloy lost a winning break in the final doubles with the bar due, letting the home team off with a draw. A good night was had with plenty of banter and played in the spirit the game should be played.
Another note at the Loci v Prince of Wales game it was pointed out to me that the collective Dave`s won all their games.
