Blue Anchor had excellent 4-1 win at the Master Mariner A - a first win for James setting us up nicely followed by wins for the Jenneral, an undeserved one for me and Joe in the last. Moppy playing very well for the hosts in leg 3 - scores to follow

Bevy 2 New Oak B 3
Doug 3840 Chelle 1860 Zoe 1430 Jean 6290 Kevin 2410 Alan 2250 Ellis 3630 Stuart 5140 Ash 1690 Ash 2530
Could have gone either way this match. Alan losing an opening 5k break then when getting it back ball rolled on the D as he played a shot. Was nice to see Ellis play so well putting us in trouble going off with just under 3k. Fortunately for us Stu got break back at the end and made a winning break. Last game could have gone either way (new oak) Ash getting a break right at the end to get he’s first win. Lovely spread of food.

Blue Anchor had excellent 4-1 win at the Master Mariner A - a first win for James setting us up nicely followed by wins for the Jenneral, an undeserved one for me and Joe in the last. Moppy playing very well for the hosts in leg 3 - scores to follow Master Mariner A 1-4 Blue Anchor **Gary Mechan 3690 - 3950 James Whittle - Gary off after missing both balls on his first split, James a solid 3k+ break enough for his first win and an important one for us on the night **Darren Robins 1560 - 6090 Tony Jenner - Tony in good form on and off the table with a very good 4k+ break in the middle of this leg gaving us a 2-0 lead **Moppy Scott 10,650 - 3360 Chris Cox - excellent 6760 opener from Moppy, Chris got the balls straight back but in the face of a tough ask was unable to claw back the deficit, Moppy added more later on **Bob Mechan 4050 - 4600 Matthew Knight - Bob missed both balls on his opening break, two shocking breaks from me gave me a 4k+ lead, all of which I needed as Bob fought back but just as he looked likely to win left the one up short to let me off the hook and give us the match **DJ Robins 1480 - 5700 Joe Oakley - DJ led for a long way and lost 1.9k which would have given him a healthy lead, however when Joe got the break back a second time that was that (apart from an outrageous fluke off the back cushion with the red dropping in the 200), a 5k break giving us a 4-1 win Great that is was all about the bar billiards on the table Loud car journey home especially when the occupants of the TJ vehicle found out I had shopped in ASDA for bleach and then couldn't find a bright green corsa in the car park - cheers for a good night lads (and Krystal) Get well soon Mr Cunningham

Duke of Wellie 4. Stags c 1 Excellent win for the home team, a couple of the games could have gone either way.
Dave 10870 v 1930 Chocie - Dave’s second break was the killer KT 4320 v 2390 Grant - Table was hard to clear tonight so once I was over a thousand up, some Tupper time was needed😉 Mick 2580 v 2750 Bob - closest game of the night with Bob sinking the 100 first go to win Tupps 6450 v 1600 Jim - steady game from Tupps, no luck at all for Jim Colin 5270 v 1750 Dave - good win for Col making it look convincing

New Oak A 3 - 2 Moulescoomb Social CLub Nigel Senior 5300 - 6400* Colin Green Phil Osborne 5740 - 1060* Martin Parsons Ian Lelliott 5780 - 1160* Dave Lee Bob Osborne 7770 - 3170* Phil Reay Marc Chipman 2660* - 4020 Dave Lee (4 player) Good match at the New Oak, table now in a new location in the pub away from those rowdy darts players In leg 1, Colin started with a fine 5k despite a few oohs and aahs, He then got the balls back to add another 800 but it left me 6 mins when I finally got the break back. I broke down 1,000 short with just about enough time left. Colin is having a good run at the moment! Leg 2, Martin off early and Phil had a couple of breaks to win Leg 3 Similar to leg 2, early miss from Dave, and Ian winning with a couple of breaks. Leg 4 Bob (our star player at the moment) beat out previous 3 scores with nearly 8k to beat captain Phil Reay and seal the match win Leg 5 Expectations were high as Marcus, after 3 shots in practice, declared the table easy and was looking further to increase the highest score on our team also given he had the break as Dave Lee was playing twice. Looking good he got to 3k but then a slightly off one up smashed through the right hand white peg. Dave Lee made a steady 4k, which won the game as Marcus could only get to 2,660 before the bar dropped which was a shame as in his words "he had really got going"....
