It is with a very heavy heart I have to let everyone know I have been informed that Charlie passed away yesterday.
Charlie was a lovely man, a true gentleman and I had the pleasure and honour to play along side him. Charlie was a very good player who was never too busy to give advice and coaching. A true stalwart of the game who will be missed by many. RIP Charlie and enjoy being reunited with your beloved Gina. TJ and Liz xx

I can only echo Tony s lovely words for a truly lovely man, played and worked with Charlie for years and first met him in the Brunswick over 50 years ago, always great company, always easy going and always gave his best.xx

I’m trying to remember the Brunswick team all those years ago, not sure of the first name, but here goes , Alan Jackson, Derek Donnelly, Roy Sherratt, Harry Leeson, Charlie Cooper, not sure if it’s correct but I’ve done my best.

I have very fond memories of Charlie, particularly in Jersey. Having a drink with him in Harry Barbet's local I asked where Gina was?
I told her I was popping out for the paper - was his reply with that wonderful sense of humour.

I first met Charlie at the Bridge in Shoreham and can only confirm what everybody else has said. He taught me how to play bar billiards and I spent many wonderful times with him wether just socialising or playing in his team. A day indeed.
